Set up the macOS Agent

If Screen Recording reports that a relaunch is required, finish or disconnect any remote work before choosing Relaunch Agent. Accessibility approval normally takes effect without a relaunch. Grant optional permissions only for a feature you intend to use; do not bypass macOS privacy prompts.

If you want the agent available after local sign-in, enable Start at Login and check that macOS permits its login item. Lock-screen and user-switch capture depend on the installed build, OS and permission state; enrollment alone does not guarantee that access.

Confirm readiness and connect

1. Return to Computers and find the enrolled Mac.
2. Check that it is online and capture and input are ready.
3. Follow Connect to a workstation.
4. Confirm live picture, pointer movement and keyboard input. Test sound, tablet behavior and each required display on the actual host and client before a production job.

Common problems

Online but no picture. Check Screen Recording, the installed app location and the host display. If a relaunch is needed, do it only when remote work is disconnected.

Picture but no input. Focus the remote view and check Accessibility on the host.

No computer in the list. Confirm that the menu-bar agent is running, the registration code belongs to the correct workspace and the network allows VDO traffic.

Use the menu-bar update controls for the signed macOS agent. Keep a known-good build available and schedule updates while the host is idle.
