VDO Player receives live picture and sound from Colour and Editorial sessions. View on your Mac or use supported Blackmagic SDI / HDMI output for a dedicated monitor. SDR, HDR and theatrical playback depend on the source, decoder and display path.

Control supported macOS and Linux hosts with keyboard, mouse and tablet input. The native macOS client can also receive a separate Blackmagic or NDI reference feed from supported Linux hosts, for picture-in-picture or dedicated output.

The host agent runs on your supported macOS or Linux workstation and connects outbound to VDO. You connect from a browser or the native macOS Workstation client. The macOS host uses VDO Remote Agent on Apple Silicon with macOS 13 or later; the native client requires macOS 14 or later. Linux targets x86_64 Rocky 8/9 GNOME/GDM X11 or Fedora 43/44 GNOME/GDM Wayland. GPU, tablet, audio and display workflows require qualification on the physical host and client.
