Download and update VDO apps

Audience

Use this page if you need the current VDO app installers or plugin builds.

Outcome

You will know where to download current builds and how to avoid stale installer links.

Download from VDO

1. Sign in to VDO.
2. Open Downloads.
3. Select the app or plugin tab.
4. Check the version and requirements.
5. Download the current build.

Use Downloads for:

• VDO Streamer.
• VDO Player.
• VDO Remote Agent.
• VDO NDI Output OFX Plugin.

Update an app

For most users, the correct update path is to return to Downloads and install the current build. If an app offers an in-app update prompt, you can use that too, but Downloads remains the source of truth for the current release.

Keep room credentials separate from app downloads

Downloads gives you software. Room share settings give you room keys and stream codes. Computers gives you registration codes.

Do not paste a room key into Remote Agent. Do not paste a computer registration code into VDO Streamer or VDO Player.

Expected result

The installed app version matches the current release shown in VDO.

Common failures

An old link downloads the wrong build. Use the Downloads page instead of a copied link from email, Slack, or chat.

The app opens but cannot connect. Confirm you are using the right credential type for that app.

A plugin does not appear in the host app. Restart the host app after installation and confirm the plugin is installed in the correct OFX plugin location.
