Connect VDO Player on Mac or iPad

Use this page if you review a VDO Session from VDO Player on Mac or iPad.
Outcome
The player connects to the room with the correct room key and stream code.
Steps
- Install VDO Player on the Mac or iPad used for review.
- In VDO, open Rooms.
- Open Room Settings or Share settings for the room.
- Copy the room key.
- Copy the stream code for the room. Use a player code for Colour rooms and a viewer code for Editorial rooms.
- Open VDO Player.
- Enter the room key in the room field.
- Enter the stream code in the code field.
- Select Connect.
- Confirm picture, audio, and the reported room type.
Expected result
VDO Player joins the room and receives the active stream.
Common failures
Connect is disabled. Enter both the room key and stream code.
The app rejects the connection. Copy the latest code from room settings.
The wrong code role was used. Match the code role to the room type.
The player connects but receives no media. Start or restart VDO Streamer in the same room.
Reviewers changed devices after a code rotation. Send the fresh code to each native player user.
