VDO Sessions streams live picture and sound to reviewers. VDO Workstation connects you to remote macOS and Linux workstations. Streamers send the review feed; players receive it. Host agents run on the computers you access, while the Workstation client runs on your Mac. Use either workflow, or combine them under the same VDO account.

Capture and encode live picture from supported Blackmagic hardware, NDI, screen capture or local file playback. Send 8/10-bit 4:2:0, 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 into Sessions; bitrate limits follow the room profile and transport.

Send Blackmagic or NDI inputs into Sessions from your own Linux host. Register up to four channels, with hardware encoding on supported NVIDIA NVENC or Intel Quick Sync (VA-API) paths. Format and concurrent-stream capacity depend on the GPU and drivers.

Watch Colour and Editorial sessions on Mac, iPad or Apple TV. SDR, HDR and theatrical playback depend on the device and display path. Use supported Blackmagic SDI / HDMI output from the Mac player for a dedicated monitor; Apple TV is a playback-only endpoint.

Install on the workstation you access. The macOS host app is VDO Remote Agent. Linux uses x86_64 Rocky 8/9 with GNOME/GDM X11 or Fedora 43/44 with GNOME/GDM Wayland; qualify GPU, tablet, audio and display workflows on the physical setup.

VDO Remote Agent is the macOS Workstation host agent, not a Streamer-only power-control app. Install it in Applications on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later, register it in Computers, and grant Screen Recording and Accessibility.

Publish a colour-tagged NDI feed from a supported OFX host. Receive it locally, select it in Streamer for a Session, or use it as a reference source on a supported Linux Workstation host. The plugin supplies the source; VDO handles the remote stream.
Keep the host image.
The effect is pass-through by default: it leaves the host image unchanged while publishing NDI. Place it where you want to take the feed in your supported host application.
