Downloads and installation troubleshooting
Audience
Use this page if you cannot download, install, update, or verify a VDO app or plugin.
Outcome
You will use the current Downloads page, confirm the right package, and separate installer issues from room or computer credential issues.
Steps
- Sign in to VDO.
- Open Downloads.
- Select the correct tab: Player, Streamer, Remote Agent, or NDI Plugin.
- Check the displayed version, release date, size, requirements, and platform.
- Download from the button shown in the selected tab.
- Install the package for your operating system.
- Relaunch the app after installation.
- If the release list fails to load, refresh the page and try again.
Expected result
The app opens and the installed version matches the latest version shown in Downloads. Downloads remains the source of truth for the current release.
Common failures
Not signed in. The public downloads page sends users to sign in before downloading the catalogue.
Release list failed to load. Refresh the page. If it still fails, contact support instead of using an old copied link.
Not yet available. The selected app or plugin has catalogue copy, but no current package is available on that channel.
Wrong credential pasted into the app. Downloads gives software. Room share settings give room keys and stream codes. Computers gives registration codes.
Plugin does not appear in the host app. Install it in the correct OFX plugin location, then restart the host app.
