Displays and Multi-Monitor
The agent automatically detects all connected displays and lets viewers switch between them during a session.
Single Display
No configuration needed. The agent captures the primary display by default. Just connect a monitor (or a DisplayPort/HDMI dongle for headless machines) and the agent handles the rest.
Multi-Monitor Setup
When multiple displays are connected, the agent reports all of them to the viewer. The viewer sees a display switcher in the session toolbar showing each monitor by index.
Clicking a display number in the viewer switches the stream to that monitor. Each display is captured at its native resolution -- you do not need matching resolutions across monitors.
Tips for Multi-Monitor
- Mixed resolutions work fine. A 4K monitor alongside a 1080p monitor is fully supported. Each display streams at its own resolution.
- DisplayPort dongles are recommended for headless machines that need to appear as if a monitor is connected.
- Display order follows your system's display arrangement. Use your desktop settings (e.g., GNOME Display Settings) to arrange monitors as needed.
Headless Machines
For servers or machines without a physical monitor:
NVIDIA GPUs
The installer automatically configures headless mode for NVIDIA GPUs. A virtual display is created so the desktop environment starts normally. If you need additional virtual displays, use your NVIDIA control panel or .
