Remote workstation
Remote desktop for
DaVinci Resolve suites.
VDO Workstation is built for post-production suites where mouse feel, tablet input and display behaviour matter. Connect from a browser to a macOS or Linux host without opening inbound ports.
01
Pressure, tilt, twist, eraser and barrel-button events for pen workflows.
02
Two displays with macOS Display P3 support and NVIDIA-backed Linux 4:4:4.
03
Native macOS Apple Silicon and Linux agents for creative workstations.
04
Outbound connection from the suite; direct where possible, relay fallback where needed.

Built for the suite, not screen sharing
Resolve users need exact input, predictable display behaviour and audio that stays in sync. Workstation keeps those concerns explicit instead of hiding them behind generic remote-desktop language.
- 01macOS: 10-bit 4:2:0 / 4:4:4 HEVC with Display P3 wide colour.
- 02Linux: 8-bit 4:2:0 / 4:4:4, with 4:4:4 on NVIDIA GPUs.
- 0348 kHz stereo Opus audio for workstation sessions.

How Workstation and Sessions fit
Desktop access and live review are separate VDO surfaces. Workstation is for controlling the suite; Sessions is for the colour-managed review path.
- 01Use Sessions for SDR, HDR and theatrical live review.
- 02Use Workstation to sit at the suite remotely.
- 03Use both when you need to review and control the same room.
Quick answers
Questions buyers
ask first.
Does this require a VPN?
The Workstation agent reaches out from the host, so facility firewalls do not need inbound rules for the agent.
Where does colour-managed review fit?
Use Sessions for SDR, HDR and theatrical review, and Workstation when you need to control the suite remotely.
