Use VDO Workstation to operate the host remotely and VDO Sessions to review live picture and sound with clients. For the operator, supported Linux hosts can also send a separate Blackmagic or NDI reference feed to the native macOS Workstation client. One VDO account connects the workflow; desktop capture and the review image remain distinct.

Start with the operator
Install a Workstation host agent on the macOS or Linux machine running your creative applications. The operator connects from a browser or the native macOS client, with input and display capabilities matched to the host.

Give the operator a reference signal
On a supported Linux host with separately qualified Blackmagic or NDI I/O, select a reference input alongside the desktop. VDO encodes it as a separate colour-managed stream for the native macOS Workstation client. Moving a window or changing the desktop view does not turn desktop capture into your reference image.

Add the review room
When producers, clients or collaborators need to watch, publish the review feed into Sessions. Use the custom macOS Streamer or the multi-channel Linux Facility Streamer, then invite reviewers to a browser or native Player. Configure colour management for the full source-to-display path.
